Festival season has hit Saskatoon and we couldn’t be more excited. While festivals are looking a little different this year, there’s still an opportunity to take part in things that make the city so special. That’s why we’ve rounded up the top four fun things to do in Saskatoon in June!

Saskatoon Pride

The Saskatoon Pride Festival runs from June 12th to June 19th and they’re hosting 5 days of super fun events. Some of the festivities — including Name That Tune Trivia Night, The Pride Parade and The Flag Raising — are being held virtually. Some will be held in-person — you don’t want to miss Drag Me Across Saskatchewan’s stop in Saskatoon! Drag Me Across Saskatchewan is a drive-in drag show that will be hosted on June 12th and features some of the province’s most fabulous queens.

The Children’s Festival

Speaking of festivals, The Children’s Festival is running virtually from June 5th to 8th. Enjoy a wonderful line-up of interactive experiences, musical performances and multicultural programming with your kids from the comfort of your own home! The festival is even running a four-day scavenger hunt. You can enter the scavenger hunt as a solo family or a team. All you need is a ton of curiosity and an Android or iPhone that is compatible with the app.

Remai Modern’s New Outdoor Exhibit

Remai Modern has a great new free outdoor exhibit! It’s the perfect excuse to get together with your friends safely outdoors. Va-et-Vient (Coming and Going) is the Remai Modern’s first commissioned outdoor installation. The multi-coloured platforms Invite the viewer to slow down and experience the outdoors like never before.

If you want to visit the museum, Remai Modern is currently featuring a Pablo Picasso exhibit that shows the artist’s mind at work.

Patio Season in Saskatoon

When the sun is out, you know it’s time for a patio. Cocktail bar Parlor has a patio located in the heart of downtown. It’s the perfect place to sit, enjoy a cocktail and watch the world walk by. And they have a rooftop garden so you know that garnish was picked fresh!
