Join Southwest Transplant Alliance for our first Virtual Hope Starts Here 5K on May 22! An uplifting family-friendly event that will honor donor families, celebrate transplant recipients, and inspire hope throughout our communities.
The Hope Starts Here 5K will raise support for STA FOUNDATION programs that provide care for donor and recipient families, inspire the community to honor the gift of life, and advance transplant science through innovation and research.
Due to COVID-19 and restrictions on large gatherings, our event will be held virtually – wherever YOU are!
Who will you run for? Establish a Team in their honor.
Create a Team or Join an existing one when you register. Refer to our Team Captain Toolkit for resources to best tell your story, spread awareness and raise support for the gift of life!

From 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 22 run or walk 3.1 miles wherever YOU are – neighborhood, local park, place of work, or treadmill! Record your run time on your phone, watch, running app or stopwatch then submit it online by 8:00 AM on Sunday, May 23.
Will I get a shirt? Each virtual registration includes a Run T-shirt! Register by May 7 to receive your shirt in time for the event on May 22. Shirts will be mailed to the address provided at registration.
Are you in the Dallas-area and selected “Yes” for in-person pick up? Drive-thru and pick up your packet at the STA Office located at 8190 Manderville Ln on either of the following days below:
