As an opportunity for anyone identifying as a “hot girl” to strut their stuff, improve their mindset and reap all the health benefits of a daily walk, taking part in the trend is the perfect way to get prepped for summer.

The Hot Girl Walk Workout Will Boost Your Health

It’s been proven time and time again that walking daily is one of the best ways to boost your cardiovascular health, keep blood sugars stable, and improve your mental health, among many other physical benefits. But the Hot Girl Walk workout takes it a step further, providing a welcome opportunity to engage in some positive mindset work like affirmations, walking meditations, listening to podcasts or just jamming out to some of your favorite uplifting tunes.

Given the positive aspects of this TikTok wellness trend that’s turned into a full-blown confidence movement, many industry professionals are fully on board. Alessandra Cardin, a holistic health coach, says she personally engages in the act of Hot Girl Walking often, taking advantage of the opportunity to reflect, boost her mood and manifest her ideal future.

“I do it all the time,” she says. “I think that visualizing your future is a really important part of transforming your health, and the Hot Girl Walk is an amazing tool for doing that.”

The Hot Girl Walk Workout Provides Time for Reflection 

Cardin notes that in addition to the physical benefits a Hot Girl Walk workout brings, you can also use the time to take stock of any changes you’d like to make in your life.

“As you’re walking, you’re getting fresh air and endorphins, but it’s also the perfect time to repeat affirmations and visualize becoming your most healthy, confident self,” she says. “Whenever I first start working with a new client, the first thing I do is ask them their ‘why’ so we can unpack the purpose of their health journey and create a vision for the future. Walking is the perfect tool for manifesting your goals.”

If you’re unsure where to start, Cardin recommends walking to a guided walking or running meditation, like this 30-minute track from Amanda Frances’s And She Rises podcast.

A guided walking meditation can help you channel the spirit and purpose behind the Hot Girl Walk workout, which is really just to get centered and aligned with your best self.

Wondering how long you should walk for? According to TikTok influencer Mia, who is credited with starting the trend, a Hot Girl Walk is a four-mile walk (that should take about an hour) but there’s really no specific time limit or distance you need to aim for. Start with a daily 20-or-30 minute walk and work your way up to an hour or more.
